It\u2019s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.\u201d (Rick Santorum, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/2012\/01\/04\/rick_santorum_is_coming_for_your_birth_control\/singleton\/\" target=\"_blank\">quoted<\/a> in <strong>Slate<\/strong> on Jan. 4, 2012)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>More than that: Santorum is only pro choice when it comes to himself. \u00a0Case in point,\u00a0Trust Women\/SR&#8217;s <strong>Ellen Shaffer<\/strong> blogged here,\u00a0in <strong>&#8220;<a title=\"Santorum: Our Abortion Was Different\" href=\"http:\/\/oursilverribbon.org\/blog\/?p=188\">Santorum: Our Abortion Was Different<\/a>:&#8221;<\/strong> &#8220;Rick Santorum is one dangerously confused denialist.&#8221; J<strong>ezebel&#8217;s<\/strong> revealing article \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/jezebel.com\/5873158\/rick-santorums-anti+abortion-stance-would-have-killed-his-own-wife\" target=\"_blank\">Rick Santorum\u2019s Anti-Abortion Politics Would Have Killed His Own Wife<\/a>\u201d also noted:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-531 aligncenter\" style=\"margin-top: 5px; margin-bottom: 5px;\" title=\"santorum\" src=\"http:\/\/oursilverribbon.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/santorum.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"384\" height=\"249\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cMr. Ban Abortion in All Circumstances With No Exception for the Life of the Mother, believes that the actions of his own wife should be treated as criminal. Why? Because, back in 1996, his wife had a procedure that resulted in the deliberate death of her fetus, even though it was a matter of saving her own life.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In its Jan. 8, 2012, editorial \u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/01\/09\/opinion\/republicans-versus-reproductive-rights.html?_r=3&amp;src=tp&amp;smid=fb-share\" target=\"_blank\">Republicans Versus Reproductive Rights<\/a>,\u201d <strong>The New York Times<\/strong> sums up the Republican presidential candidates&#8217; views:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThe Republican field is united in its determination to overturn Roe v.
