\nThe New York Times<\/strong> has a break down of \u00a0the Republican Presidential Candidates’ views on abortion<\/a>, which is an eye-opener.<\/p>\n

Rick Santorum has emerged as having the most extreme views on reproductive rights:<\/p>\n

\u201cTo put rape or incest victims through another trauma of an abortion, I think is too much to ask.\u201d \u00a0<\/em>(Aug. 11, 2011, The New York Times<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country.\u201d \u00a0[…] \u00a0\u201cMany of the Christian faith have said, well, that\u2019s okay, contraception is okay.\u00a0It\u2019s not okay. It\u2019s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.\u201d (Rick Santorum, quoted<\/a> in Slate<\/strong> on Jan. 4, 2012)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

More than that: Santorum is only pro choice when it comes to himself. \u00a0Case in point,\u00a0Trust Women\/SR’s Ellen Shaffer<\/strong> blogged here,\u00a0in “Santorum: Our Abortion Was Different<\/a>:”<\/strong> “Rick Santorum is one dangerously confused denialist.” Jezebel’s<\/strong> revealing article \u201cRick Santorum\u2019s Anti-Abortion Politics Would Have Killed His Own Wife<\/a>\u201d also noted:<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Ban Abortion in All Circumstances With No Exception for the Life of the Mother, believes that the actions of his own wife should be treated as criminal. Why? Because, back in 1996, his wife had a procedure that resulted in the deliberate death of her fetus, even though it was a matter of saving her own life.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In its Jan. 8, 2012, editorial \u201dRepublicans Versus Reproductive Rights<\/a>,\u201d The New York Times<\/strong> sums up the Republican presidential candidates’ views:<\/p>\n
